There’s more to meat than meets the eye and, as you’ll soon discover, you don’t always need to go top shelf when it comes to choosing cuts that are bursting with flavour. Join Gary Grootelaar, chef and owner of the historic Manse boutique lodge, and Paul Greaney from Havelock North’s The Village Butcher, as they showcase a selection of a beast’s best bits – blade, chuck, topside and fillet. Red wine will be served and the evening will be rounded off with friandises, a dram of single malt or a glass of port.
