Location & Directions

Book with us

It’s easy to get to The Manse, luxury boutique lodge in Hawke’s Bay. The most popular way to travel is by car and this mode also gives you the full flexibility for discovering every aspect of this stunning region.

We provide complimentary transfers to and from Napier Airport. If you need transport let us know where you need to be, and if we are available we’re more than happy to take you there and pick you up.

From the North, the easy drive on the Napier – Taupo road enters via the beautiful Esk Valley, with its vineyards and hill top views to the Pacific Ocean. Another popular option is to cut across the North Island from Taihape using the Gentle Annie Road through the Kaweka Ranges – this road is now fully sealed.

From the South, we recommend that you take State Highway 2 over the Rumatuka mountains through the charming villages of Greytown and Martinborough and then take State Highway 50. If time permitted, stop at the Pukaha Mount Bruce Wild Life Centre.

The Manse is located in the heart of Hawke’s Bay wine country at Maraekakaho and is just 30 minutes from Napier and 15 minutes from Hastings or Havelock North.

Regular flights operate from North and South Island centres to Hawke’s Bay Airport situated in Napier. It’s approximately a 1 hour flight from Auckland or Wellington.

There’s also a small local airfield at Bridge Pa, just 10 minutes from The Manse, accommodating private jets, chartered fixed wing or helicopter flights.

The Manse has helicopter landing facilities.
