CUISINE

A TRUE ‘PADDOCK
TO PLATE’
EXPERIENCE

The large, sunny, country kitchen sits at the heart of The Manse. Co-owner Gary has cheffed in five-star hotels and worked in Michelin star restaurants around the world, so you’ll enjoy the finest cuisine from your own personal chef.

This truly is a paddock to plate experience with most of the fresh produce and ingredients coming straight from the lodge’s small farm and orchard. Fresh eggs every day, vegetables and herbs, an orchard full of fruit and paddocks where stock happily graze. Gary takes this and other local produce from selected suppliers and creates personal menus based on your preferences, the seasons and the magic he feels on the day.

Home-made relishes and jams, freshly baked bread and baking to tempt you. If you would like, you can join Gary in the kitchen or chat with him at the table while he prepares. Food is a celebration at The Manse and the centre of the generous, hospitality you’ll enjoy.

BREAKFAST

This is a delicious feast of home-made sourdough and bread, granola, jams, compotes and fruits. You’ll have fresh eggs every day, cooked just the way you like them. Served inside or outside, it’s a perfect way to start your day.

DINNER

Fine food deserves a special setting. After pre dinner drinks and canapes you’ll be seated at the beautiful dining table, or al fresco on the verandah. Candles, fresh flowers, fine china, crystal, silver and linen - everything arranged on your table will be as exquisite as the food itself.

WINE

The Manse wine cellar holds an impressive selection of fine hand-picked wines from New Zealand, Australia, France, Italy and Spain. Choose a wine that tempts you or Gary will happily wine match with each dish.

WHISKY
AND CIGARS

One of the special surprises at The Manse is the spectacular selection of single malt whiskies and Cuban cigars. A quiet indulgence at the end of the day.
